About me

Zhufeng (Zephyr) Qiu

Hello! I'm Zhufeng Qiu, and you can also call me Zephyr.

I received my B.S. in Geographical Information Science from Wuhan University, my M.S. in Applied Data Science from the University of Southern California, and my M.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University.

After graduating from USC, I worked as a Research and Development Engineer at NSFOCUS Technologies for one and a half years, where I designed large-scale data processing pipelines using Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch, and HBase to process millions of records per day. I also developed statistical and machine learning models for cybersecurity applications, supporting large-scale enterprise and telecom customers.

My academic and professional experiences have gradually shaped my research interests in GPU runtime, parallel runtime systems, distributed systems, and AI infrastructure. I enjoy bridging mathematical foundations, large-scale systems, and machine learning to build efficient and scalable computing systems.
