A survey of web-based thematic-mapping methods, followed by an architecture — overall, functional, and logical — for online visualization, interaction, and dynamic data updates.
The prototype is a D3.js customs trade map with a map-service layer, supporting thematic visualization, statistical charts, interactive queries, and live data updates.
